#Football manager 2015 gameplay professional
In the past year SI Games, the makers of the series, have signed a deal with Prozone that results in professional clubs formally being able to access the data for scouting purposes.įootball Manager 15 is now upon us and SI Games has rewarded us with some long requested and key improvements, making the game even more life like and immersing than previous versions.įiring up the game the first time involves setting up your manager and picking the active and passive leagues you wish to include in your game (depending on the capabilities of your computer). Over the years there have of course been players who were forecast to become the next big thing but who did not pan out (Tonton Zola Moukoko anyone?), but the quality and depth of player scouting in the game is reflected in the fact that over the years, a number of clubs have used the game to scout for talent. I first learned of players like Andreas Iniesta, Vincent Kompany and Javier Saviola through playing this game. There has always been a perverse pleasure in finding a young player that you have never heard of, bringing them into your side and watching them grow into international superstars both in your game and then later in real life.
#Football manager 2015 gameplay series
The series has had a remarkable track record over the years of identifying unknown future talents. The game may not be broadly known in the United States, however it has an almost cult like following overseas with legal sales and piracy of the game said to be in excess of 10 million copies.
That obsession has grown over the years as the series has added more leagues, gone from text based to 2D graphics and then 3D graphics, added ever more layers of depth to tactics, training and scouting and made your managerial experience feel more and more authentic. Putting together your team, building your tactics and your training regime, dispatching your scouts to find the next great player and then watching the match commentary unfold became an obsession.
